For mixing ingredients to help you relax, use: 1 ounce carrier
oil such as sweet almond; 10 drops Roman Chamomile; 5 drops
lavender. Mix the oils well then put them in a clean, air-tight dark
glass jar. Massage the oil into the feet of the person who need to
relax. Of course, you may also give yourself a massage with this
relaxing oil. Do not drive after using this particular blend because
Roman Chamomile has a very sedating effect. If you want to make a
diffuser blend with this oil, use a ratio of 2 drops Roman Chamomile
to 1 drop Lavender; then add to your diffuser.
In order to reduce the effect of depression, the following blend may
assist you when you have feelings of anxiety. Follow the safety
precautions and keep in mind that aromatherapy is not a substitute
for medical treatment. There are four different blends that you may
use. The first blend: 1 drop Rose; 3 drops Sandalwood; 1 drop
Orange. The second blend: 3 drops Bergamot; 2 drops Clary Sage. The
Third Blend: 1 drop Lavender; 1 drop Ylang Ylang; 3 drops
Grapefruit. The fourth blend: 2 drops Frankincense; 1 drop Lemon
drops, Jasmine or Neroli.
Choose one of the blends above, then select the method you want to
use for the blend and follow these directions:
For a diffuser blend: Multiply your blend by 4 to get a total of 20
drops of your selected blend; add your oils to a dark colored glass
bottle; roll the bottle between your hands to mix well. Add the
correct number of drops from your blend to your diffuser by
following the manufacturer's instructions for the diffuser.
Bath Oil: Multiply your blend by 3 to get a total of 15 drops, then
use this blend in the bath oil recipe.
Bath Salts: Use the 5 drop bend for the bath salts recipe.
Massage Oil: Multiply your blend by 2 to get the total of 10 drops
of your selected blend, then continue using the 10 drop blend in the
massage oil recipe.
Air Freshener: In order to get 30 drops of your selected blend
multiply your blend by 6, then continue using the 30 drop blend in
the Air Freshener recipe.
